Stylist Kerry shares her tips on dressing Boho

I’m the first to put my hand up and say I look for comfort and ease first when it comes to dressing which is why I love the effortless appeal of boho dressing, fabrics that breathe and natural elements of accessorising. It all looks so easy but what makes it all look so well put together?
The Fabrics
When it comes to boho dressing, look for fabrics that give a soft silohuette or gently flare and that are light and breathe.
Linen, muslin, soft cotton blends and light denim are all in keeping with dressing boho.
Look for detailing such as tassle ties, embroidery anglaise, crochet lace or paisley prints.
The Colours
A great place to start is with soft neutrals as this not only gives a look of comfort and ease, it’s always a more timeless approach to having ‘trend’ pieces in your wardrobe.
Some favourites are soft beige, soft white, sage, tan and terracotta - think of a soft and almost rustic palette. A short and shirt twin set is always a great place to start as you can split the pieces across the rest of your wardrobe or wear them together and complete your look with accessories.
The Final Touches
Complete your boho styling with the right accessories - this also helps elevate what can almost be a too casual look. Go for natural elements such as raffia, woven sandals, macrame bags and natural earrings.
Have fun with your soft summer styling, look for fabrics that are light to wear, have fun with standout sandals or bag and don’t forget the most important accessory of all - sunscreen!
